One thing can ruin a wedding video...

Professional wedding filmmakers can produce an amazing film but only the Bride and Groom can prevent this one thing from ruining the wedding video.
Many of the weddings we film are in Olympia, WA or the surrounding areas. Due to this I am fortunate to have beautiful scenery all around me. I have seen the beautiful sunset coming down over the water with the sun bouncing off the snowy mountains. The sailboats pass by and decorate the landscape. The Bride has the perfect dress. The cake looks like it just won first place on a Food Network competition. The guests are laughing, the parents are so proud. The day is perfect. You couldn't ask for a better day to film a wedding in Olympia. Except for one thing: The Bride is so stressed out that it takes monumental effort to smile. Now the Groom is affected. This will show up on video and your photographs will not look natural.Every frown or stressed out expression comes across on video. Photographers can most certainly be affected by this as well but they only need one quick snapshot of a smile. For a video clip to be effective it needs to be at least 3-5 seconds minimum. A member of a bridal party can go from smiling to frowning in an instant.
A wedding videographer cannot force the bride and groom to have fun. We can try to get them to crack a smile but you absolutely need to have fun at your wedding! It is critical and impacts the way your wedding video looks. More importantly, it is the day you have been waiting for. Have Fun!Often weddings evolve into something that is stressful instead of fun. It is so important to remember why you are there: You both found something so important, so beautiful, so personal and it's called love. You are celebrating this love with others that you care for in your life. It is a time of celebration and this means fun, laughter, happiness. When you feel that stress coming on just remember that you are surrounded by people you love.
